STORE MANAGER — CAFÉ FORGOT (NYC)
Café Forgot is seeking a passionate, organized, and fashionable store manager with 2+ years of retail experience, preferably managerial, to lead daily operations at our boutique. Must be incredibly detail oriented, fast learning, confident, communicative, and able to multitask.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage daily store operations: open/close, team scheduling, inventory tracking
• Supervise and train sales associates and interns
• Maintain visual merchandising and uphold brand presentation
• Provide excellent customer service and manage returns and repairs
• Communicate with customers about restocks, holds, and special requests
• Maintain client notes and assist with personalized service outreach
• Help coordinate store repairs and maintenance
• Assist founders with seasonal buying and designer communication
• Organize inventory for ecomm shoots and support photo production
• Contribute to product descriptions and manage website copy
• Take in-store photos and assist with social media content
• Coordinate designer deliveries, restocks, and consignment check-ins
• Track sales and support revenue-driving goals
• Oversee Shopify POS, returns, and stockroom organization
• Collaborate with founders on events, launches, and seasonal strategy
REQUIREMENTS
• 2+ years retail experience (managerial/supervisory preferred)
• Passion for independent fashion and emerging designers
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to handle customer issues
• Proficiency in Shopify
• Flexible availability, including weekends

• Visual merchandising or styling experience
• Interest in creative production, community events, or digital marketing
• Writing and photography experience
